FAQ's

Will I need a car to travel around?
Yes a car is vital to your stay down here due to the distances involved and the lack of public transport.

How far are you from the airport?
We are 280 kms from Perth airport an 67 kms from BQB Busselton Margaret RIver Airport.

How far are you from town?
We are 10 minutes from Margaret River

How Do I Secure My Reservation?
A deposit of 50% of the total is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is required 14 days prior to your arrival.

What type of  payment do you accept?
We accept Visa card and Master card as well is EFT’s- direct bank transfer.

What is your minimum nights stay?
Our minimum stay is generally two nights so if you stay for only one night this would be charged at the 2 night rate. At certain times of the year our minimum rate will vary, such as peak times, Christmas and New Year, Easter and long weekends.

What do you supply?
We supply all bed linen, towels and tea towels. Toiletries are also provided, including shampoo, conditioner, hand and body wash.

We supply basics such as coffee pods (2 pods per day per person), instant coffee, tea/herbal tea, sugar and long life milk as well as basic condiments.

Basic cleaning equipment is supplied such as dishwashing detergent, cloths etc.

If there is anything you need in particular please ask! We do not supply beach towels so please bring your own. If you are travelling and can’t bring your own, please contact us to hire beach towels.

What do you supply in the kitchen?
Aside from basic items we also supply kitchen mixers, a stick blender, scales, measuring spoons and cups, mixing bowls, baking tins etc. Basics such as salt and pepper, oil, balsamic vinegar etc will be provided as well.

Do you have a coffee machine?
Yes we have a Nespresso compatible coffee machine and we supply 2x complimentary pods per day per person for the duration of your stay.  Please bring additional pods if you are a coffee fiend.

Do you supply firewood?
During fire season in the winter we supply adequate fire wood for the duration of your stay. If more wood is required then this can be supplied at an additional charge.

Is there phone coverage?
We have phone coverage but Optus can be problematic in our area.

Do you have Wifi and smart TV’s?
The chalets have wifi and smart tv’s so you can use your own streaming services. We also have free to air TV.

Are there Walking Trails and other Activities on the Property
One of our favourite past times is to walk around our property. It is a truly spectacular property with lots of beautiful vantage points and many hidden treasures. Given that it is a rural property, we highly recommend wearing covered shoes when walking. Be sure to follow the map in your chalet for the Ruse Ramble to ensure that you get to enjoy all that our beautiful property has to offer.

Down by the lake are 2 kayaks that you are welcome to use. We ask that you leave them as you found them. In the carriage house on the dam you will also find outdoor games plus indoor games and books, such as Bocce, Finska and Croquet.

We are also a registered Land for Wildlife (property 2154) property which we take very seriously. We are privileged to share our property with many native birds and animals, such as masked owls, both Baudin and Carnaby Black Cockatoo’s, Red Tail Cockatoos, Tawny Frogmouths, Phascogale, Ring Tail Possums and many other frogs and reptiles. We are hoping to be used as a release property for some threatened species who need a safe haven to be released.
